Delete Your Account & Data

How to permanently delete your Nyaya AI account, your matters and your uploaded documents.

You can ask us to delete your Nyaya AI account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how, what is removed, and what we are required to keep.

Export what you need first. Deletion permanently removes your matters, clients, hearings, invoices, uploaded documents and saved drafts. Download or export anything you or your clients may need — including files you are professionally obliged to retain — before you request deletion. We cannot recover it afterwards.

Option 1 — From inside the workspace

Sign in and go to Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm. Your account and all server-side data are scheduled for permanent deletion. If your build does not show this option, use the email route below.

Option 2 — By email

Write to nyaya@houseoftech.ai with the subject “Nyaya AI Account Deletion Request”, from the email address registered on the account, and include:

The email address registered on your Nyaya AI account
(Optional) the reason for deletion — it helps us improve

We may ask you to confirm the request from your registered email address before we proceed, so that nobody else can delete your workspace.

What gets deleted

Your account profile — name, email, firm details and preferences
Your firm record and every client, matter, hearing and invoice in it
Every document you uploaded, including the stored file object and its extracted text
Saved drafts, redline memos and exports held on our servers
Your AI-run history — prompts, outputs and citations
Session tokens and device links
Feedback and support correspondence linked to your account

Deletion is permanent. Documents and drafts cannot be recovered once deletion completes. Files you already downloaded, exported or emailed stay wherever you saved or sent them — deleting your account does not reach those copies.

What may be retained

Billing and tax records for payments you made to us, required for our own accounting and audit compliance (typically up to 7 years)
Anonymised usage analytics that cannot be linked back to you
Security and fraud-prevention logs, for a limited period

Deleting only part of your data

If you want to remove a single document, matter or client rather than close your account, delete it from within the workspace. The record and its stored file are removed; the rest of your account is untouched.

If you have an active paid period

If you are on Autopay, cancel the mandate first — from your UPI or bank app, or by emailing us. Deleting your account stops us serving you, but only cancelling the mandate stops the monthly debit. One-off plans have no mandate, so nothing further is ever charged. Deleting your account does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the current period — refunds are governed by the Payment & Cancellation Policy.

Timeframe

We acknowledge your request within 2 working days.
Deletion is completed within 30 days of verification, or sooner where your local law requires it.
You receive a confirmation once deletion is complete.
